Dental EMR / EHR

Dental EMR software, built for how dentists examine.

smileQute is a cloud dental EMR: every patient's electronic record, history, tooth-by-tooth and periodontal charting, X-rays, prescriptions, and treatment plans on one screen, with an audit-grade trail behind every change.

Every electronic record, the whole chart on one screen

A dental EMR should put a patient's entire clinical picture in front of the clinician without tab-hunting. smileQute holds the full electronic record: medical history, allergies, medications, insurance, and every visit, treatment, prescription, and image, surfaced the moment you open the patient.

  • Full clinical history with treatment plans, stages, cost estimates, and consent
  • Tooth-by-tooth dental chart (5 surfaces) and full periodontal charting
  • X-rays and documents with side-by-side before / after photo compare
  • Prescriptions you can print and share, plus outgoing lab orders
  • Allergies, medications, and insurance surfaced at every visit
  • Composite duplicate detection on phone, email, and date of birth

Charting built for dentistry, not generic EMR fields

Most general EMRs make you bend dentistry into free-text boxes. smileQute charts the way a dentist examines: tap a tooth, mark the surface, record the condition, and let the plan follow. Periodontal exams copy from the prior visit so recall is a few taps, not a re-entry.

  • Tooth-surface picker for caries, fillings, crowns, and more
  • Periodontal exam with pocket depths, recession, BOP, and plaque per site
  • Copy-from-prior so recall exams take seconds
  • Treatment-plan stages linked to appointments and consent

Audit-grade and compliance-ready by default

Electronic records are only as good as the trust behind them. Every change in smileQute is attributable and recoverable, and access is scoped to the role. This is what compliance, disputes, and clinical governance actually depend on.

  • Full audit trail: every change logged with user, old value, new value, and timestamp
  • Soft-delete keeps every record recoverable, nothing is truly gone
  • Role-based access with granular, section-level permissions
  • Per-clinic data isolation and secrets encrypted at rest

Paperless, cloud, and live in a day

Going paperless should not mean running a server or a week of IT. smileQute is a cloud dental EMR you reach from any browser, on the chair from a tablet or at the front desk from a laptop. Import your existing records by CSV and start the same day.

  • Mobile-first web app, nothing to install, works on every device
  • Bulk CSV import of patients and records, with duplicate detection
  • Multi-clinic super-admin console, run several locations from one place
  • Per-clinic currency, language, and timezone for groups across countries

Dental EMR, EHR, or practice management?

The terms overlap. An EMR (electronic medical record) is the clinical chart; an EHR (electronic health record) adds the wider record and sharing; dental practice management adds scheduling, billing, and messaging around it. smileQute covers all three: the electronic record at the center, and the workflows a clinic runs every day around it, so you are not stitching a chart to a separate booking and billing system.

Common questions

What clinics ask about this.

Is smileQute a dental EMR or an EHR?

Both, in practice. It holds the full electronic clinical record (the EMR), including dental and periodontal charts, images, prescriptions, and history, and adds the wider record and sharing that an EHR implies, plus the scheduling, billing, and messaging of a practice management system. You get the chart and everything around it in one platform.

Can we go fully paperless?

Yes. Clinical notes, charts, consents, prescriptions, X-rays, and documents all live in the electronic record. Upload existing scans and X-rays, and new visits are recorded directly. Most clinics retire their paper files within the first weeks.

How are electronic records kept secure and compliant?

Every record change is logged with the user, the old and new value, and a timestamp, and is queryable. Deletes are soft and recoverable. Access is role-based with granular permissions, each clinic's data is isolated from every other tenant, and secrets are encrypted at rest. A lawyer or compliance officer should confirm specifics for your jurisdiction (for example DPDP in India or GDPR in the EU).

Does the EMR include charting and imaging?

Yes. Tooth-by-tooth charting across five surfaces, full periodontal charting, and X-ray and document storage with before/after photo compare are built in, not add-ons. Charting is designed around how dentists examine, not generic medical fields.

Can we migrate our existing records?

Yes. Export patients, appointments, and clinical history from your current system and bulk-import by CSV, with composite duplicate detection. Migration support is included on every plan, and most clinics go live in a day.

Does it work across multiple clinics or countries?

Yes. A multi-tenant super-admin console runs several clinics from one place, with per-clinic currency, language, and timezone, so a group operating across regions keeps one electronic record system everywhere.
